Public Safety Minister says all levels of government need to help improve alarm texting system

Public alarm texting system has been a problem in Manitoba afterward final year'due south devastating tornado

Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale says all levels of government need to collaborate in order to improve the public alerting arrangement.

"This takes a lot of collaboration," Goodale said during a teleconference, according to a January 25th Winnipeg Gratuitous Press commodity.

The issue of failed alarm systems was brought upward after an EF-4 rated Tornado hitting the small boondocks of Alonsa in Manitoba last Baronial, which killed one man and left widespread damage.

He as well added the residents should be upgrading their cellphones besides to ensure that they are able to get connected and receive the necessary alerts.

A spokesperson from Pallister's office said to WFP that the province intends on working with the manufacture and business concern community to better the province's wireless coverage.
